What's this?

net.block does nothing else than stepping through a given block and performing a reverse lookup on the address. If a dns entry exists, it tries to compare the lookup to the original address.

Reason for building this service

Mainly out of curiosity. But it's a good way to find out if your neighbor uses his netblock for pr0n hosting ;)
